Food industry intelligence network doubles membership

The food industry intelligence network (fiin) has doubled its membership base, highlighting the industry’s commitment to protecting UK consumers from food fraud.

Established in 2015 by 21 industry leaders, the membership base now represents a combined turnover of £115bn in the food and drink sector.

Welcoming nine new companies over the past twelve months across a breadth of food categories, the fiin membership now stands at 45 businesses, dedicated to honing the efficacy of their testing regimes.

The additional data provided through membership growth is helping to create robust barriers to food fraud.

Since reporting first commenced, fiin has collated over 250,000 product authenticity test results to date, which have been analysed and disseminated between members to provide valuable insight and intelligence.

As both a network, and as individual businesses, fiin is dedicated to providing UK consumers the highest level of protection against food fraud.
